A Farewell Celebration: Honoring ATU Local 268 President William Nix’s Retirement

ITLC’s Executive Director Jack Clark attended an event in Cleveland last month honoring ATU Local 268 President William Nix on his retirement from the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA). President Nix completed over 35 years of service at GCRTA, almost half that time spent as ATU Local 268 President.

ITLC Presents at TRB’s 103rd Annual Meeting

ITLC’s research team members actively participated in the Transportation Research Board’s (TRB) 103rd Annual Meeting last month at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. Research Associates Michaela Boneva, Shayna Gleason, and Researcher Douglas Nevins provided an overview and demonstration of TWC’s Transit Workforce Data Dashboard to the Bus and Truck Data Subcommittee.

St. Louis Bus Mentors and Operators – Driving Towards Success

Thirty enthusiastic Metro Transit (St. Louis) bus operator mentors and members of Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 788 participated in a mentor training at Metro headquarters in early January, which was co-facilitated by ITLC Senior Workforce Advisor Maurice Beard, ATU International’s Director of Apprenticeships and Workforce Development Jamaine Gibson, and assisted by ITLC team member Arnett Powell.

Allie has over a decade of experience in teaching and curriculum development and holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Towson University.
