SacRT Pilots National Rail Car Training Consortium Courseware

On August 20-22, four participants from Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) piloted three Communications courses developed by the National Rail Car Training Consortium; Course 110, Introduction and Overview (one day), Course 210, Inspection and Maintenance (half-day) and Course 310, Troubleshooting (half-day).

Consortium Member, Hennepin Tech Graduates First Light Rail Technicians

At Hennepin Technical College, the aspiring light rail technicians were trained in robotics, electronics and fluid power. The graduates also had 2½ years of paid training at existing Metro Transit light rail vehicle facilities in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
