Center Featured in “Success Stories” Report Published by the National Governors Association

Posted January 2018

The National Governors Association recently published a report highlighting seventeen success stories from among the nearly 50 American Apprenticeship Initiative grantees.

The American Apprenticeship Initiative (AAI) is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. Grantees are charged with creating new partnerships between education and industry to provide pathways for workers and talent pipelines for business. These partnerships between employers, organized labor, non-profits, local governments, and educational institutions will expand Registered Apprenticeship to new communities and new industries.

The report recognizes the Center’s work leveraging its national network of relationships with transportation agencies built on trust, experience, and collaboration. The Center is further highlighted for its a proven approach for developing successful Registered Apprenticeship Programs by acting as a neutral intermediary between employers and labor.
