The Center Welcomes New Staff Member, Brandon Liu

Posted October 2019

The Transportation Learning Center welcomes Brandon Liu as our new Instructional Designer. Brandon joins the Center right as the Traction Power Consortium begins to consolidate and require intensive courseware design and development. He will also support the other Consortia projects as time goes on. Brandon truly feels learning, education, and dedicated training are critical components for successful organizational practices, and vital for augmenting personal growth and lifelong development.

Brandon is the only child of the Liu family, and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, yet considers the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain region of Roanoke, Virginia, to be his hometown. He studied Psychology during his undergraduate career at James Madison University, and became a “Double Duke” after completing his Adult Education and Human Resource Development Master’s Program in the summer of 2019. He is most proud of his involvement with the Marching Royal Dukes (MRDs), one of the nation’s largest collegiate marching bands, who have traveled to several domestic and international locations since the band’s inception (such as Ireland, Italy, England and several performances in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade).
