One of the highlights of Making Connections 2019 was the Lunch Plenary Session. Larry Willis, TTD, moderated the panel of esteemed experts and leaders who spoke about emerging technologies in public transportation and the impacts they have seen and expect to see on the frontline workforce and its training needs. The panel members were John Costa, ATU International President; Erica Groshen, Senior Extension Faculty at ILR School of Cornel University; Jeff Knueppel, SEPTA General Manager; Paul Skoutelas, APTA President and CEO; and Brendan Danaher, Executive Director in the Office of the International President of TWU.
