Watch the Making Connections Opening Plenary

To open the conference, Center staff gathered experts in public transportation to talk about the increasingly important issue of workforce diversity. Billy Terry, Executive Director of NTI, moderated the panel of public transportation leaders who spoke about ways to meet the needs of a more diverse workforce. The panel members were William Brown, President of TWU Local 234; Mary Leary, Deputy to the Associate Administrator for the FTA Office of Research, Demonstration, and Innovation; and Ferdinand L. Risco Jr., Executive Director for the Transit Authority of River City (TARC).
