Transit Elevator/Escalator Courseware Development Team Focuses on ID Skills for “Master Techs”

Last week, courseware development team members of the Center’s Transit Elevator/Escalator Training Consortium met in Silver Spring.  The main focus of the meeting was identifying the skills that are needed for “Master Transit Elevator/Escalator Technicians.”  The team, which represents five of the nation’s largest transit authorities and their unions, identified over fifty learning objectives for the following high skill courses that will be developed as part of the training consortium project:

*  Course 400:  Advanced PLC Applications
*  Course 401: Root Cause Failure Analysis
*  Course 402: Predictive Maintenance
