Treasurer Ma Appoints Center Sr. Fellow Beverly Scott to High-Speed Rail Authority Peer Review Group

California Treasurer Fiona Ma has appointed Dr. Beverly A. Scott to the California High-Speed Rail Authority Peer Review Group. The California High-Speed Rail Peer Review Group is an eight-member body that evaluates the California High Speed Rail Authority’s funding plans.

Dr. Scott is CEO of Beverly Scott Associates and a senior partner in Parker Infrastructure Partners, a developer of essential infrastructure with a focus on projects that create value for both the public and private sectors. She is now a senior fellow at the Transportation Learning Center where she also served on the board for many years.

Dr. Scott’s career in the public transportation industry spans more than three decades. She has served as general manager or CEO for several transit agencies such as the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), and the Sacramento Regional Transit Authority (SacRT). 

“Beverly Scott is among the best and the brightest in her field and will serve California well with this appointment,” Treasurer Ma said. “I am thankful for her commitment to making California a better place to live and work.”
