Consortium Member, Hennepin Tech Graduates First Light Rail Technicians

At Hennepin Technical College, the aspiring light rail technicians were trained in robotics, electronics and fluid power. The graduates also had 2½ years of paid training at existing Metro Transit light rail vehicle facilities in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Hennepin Technical College is a collegiate member of the Rail Car Consortium in partnership with Metro Transit and used the consortium courseware for rail and signals maintenance course delivery to this inaugural class.
