Jeffrey D. Knueppel, P.E. Confirmed for Making Connections Plenary Session

Jeff Knueppel has served as SEPTA General Manager since 2015.  His career in public transportation spans more than 30 years beginning in 1988 when he joined the Authority as an entry level Structural Engineer where his projects focused on the repair of aging elevated transit structures, bridges and tunnels.  He quickly moved up within the organization and was promoted to Chief Engineer at the age of 36. Prior to becoming GM, he held the positions of Deputy General Manager and Assistant General Manager/Chief Engineer of the EM&C Division.  Jeff has served as a valuable member of the Transportation Learning Center Board of Directors since 2015.

He will be speaking at Making Connections in a plenary session on new technology in transit, its effects on the workforce, and how to ensure that workforce training keeps up with innovation.
