Learning Management System Coming in Summer 2021: Help Pick Its Name!

Posted April 2021

Realizing that the Center and our partner organizations have outgrown our current website to host training materials , we’ve spent the last six months looking at alternatives. Early on, we realized that what we and our partners need is a learning management system (LMS). In addition to the functions of transit training network, an LMS will give us the ability to:

  Directly administer eLearning courses
Track course progress, assessment scores, etc. by user
  Hide assessments from some users
  Integrate with social learning
Run reports on course completion, assessment results, downloads, etc.

After looking at countless LMS platforms, we’ve decided that Totara Learn  is the best fit for us. The configuration variations are almost limitless and the group we’re working with on implementation,  Learning Pool , has proven to be responsive and problem solving!

We’ve just started the implementation process and are now working to identify the best name for the new platform.  We’d appreciate if you could take a moment to give your input:  VOTE HERE .

For any other questions on the new LMS, contact Julie Deibel-Pundt.
