Transit Coach Operator Apprenticeship Committee Has First Live Meeting

The Center held its first Transit Coach Operator Apprenticeship meeting February 29-March 3. This committee, developed as a part of the American Apprenticeship Initiative project, consists of nine transit agencies and their unions and the ATU International. During this meeting labor and management subject matter experts came together to:

  Review and edit the APTA Recommended Practices for Transit Bus Operator Training
  Discuss the elements of a successful training program
  Develop a technical work plan to guide the work of the apprenticeship committee
