National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), now in its fifth year, is a nationwide celebration that gives businesses, communities, and educators the opportunity to showcase their apprenticeship programs and apprentices while providing valuable information to career seekers. Billy Terry, Executive Director of NTI, moderated the panel of public transportation leaders who spoke about ways to meet the needs of a more diverse workforce.

Center Staff Participates in UCLA Symposium on Transportation and Equity

On October 20-22, the Center’s Senior Director for Workforce Education, Pat Greenfield, participated as an invited speaker at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Symposium, “Routes to Opportunity:  Connecting Equity and Transportation.”  Center Board member Stephanie Wiggins, Chief Executive Officer of Metrolink, chaired the panel, titled “Growing the Workforce to Fuel the Transportation System.”
